Automate payroll control for millions of employees. By partnering with Visma payroll systems, in aggregate covering 10+ million employees, the potential is huge. Our API integrates with these systems to deliver useful insights into the workflows payroll admins work with today, creating value from the start. While we mainly focus on the development of algorithms and an API that return as useful insight as possible, we’re involved in shaping the full product with our partners, including frontend design, assisting integrations, and building and maintaining our platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and ship core services. Design, implement, and maintain APIs and backends that power automated payroll control—reliable, fast, and easy to integrate.

• Implement and maintain AWS infrastructure using modern DevOps workflows and IaC.

• Shape and ship intelligent features. Work across LLMs, statistics and ML-methods to make results clear and useful for payroll admins—owning the path from idea to production.

• Collaborate end-to-end. Partner with Visma teams and end-users to understand workflows and deliver software that creates value.

• Write clean, well-tested code with attention to performance, reliability, and security.

• Contribute to design decisions across the stack and move us toward agent-powered automation in payroll.

• Ensure efficiency by choosing appropriate data structures, optimizing queries, and parallelizing workloads, with attention to time complexity and overall performance.

You might be a great fit if this sounds like you

• You’ve shipped production code, can weigh trade-offs, and like owning work from spec to delivery.

• You’ve worked in the cloud (preferably AWS) and are comfortable with CI/CD, IaC, and monitoring.

• You’ve touched relational databases (SQL/PostgreSQL), can think about schema design, and care about performance.

• You’re curious about AI—maybe you’ve tried LLMs, retrieval, or prompt engineering—and want to ship useful features with it.

• You bring a product mindset: care about user workflows, simplify where it counts, prioritise well, and ship incremental value.

• You enjoy collaborating in a small, fast team in Oslo (and with partners).
