What can the Business Controller role offer you?

As a Business Controller in Visma, you will be part of Europe's leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company. This offers a unique insight into how SaaS businesses are managed, what financial and commercial drivers are important, and how to blend data from various sources. We make business decisions based on facts rather than feelings, and as our new Business Controller you will make sure that we always have the necessary facts and numbers available and correct.

What does a Business Controller do in Visma?

The Business Controller position is part of the wider group finance team, overseeing all finance functions in Visma. In this position, the main responsibility will be ensuring a smooth monthly reporting process including:

• Analyse and follow-up performance for group and daughter companies
• Develop and maintain reporting infrastructure in Google Sheets, connected to a central BigQuery based datawarehouse
• Control activities to ensure reported numbers are correct
• Support for wider finance team on the reporting infrastructure
• Various ad-hoc analyses, among others related to forecasts and budgets
• Support in implementation and improvement of systems, such as the group consolidation system (OneStream)

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who wants to work in the finance domain, with a clear focus on using technology to automate recurring workstreams. You may be a data analyst with a technical background who is interested in finance, or you may have a financial background but enjoy using technical tools such as basic programming and / or AI to be more efficient.

• Around 2 years of experience with business control or data analytics 
• Should love modeling in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
• Comfortable with basic programming (if-statements, loops, basic SQL / querying, basic VBA, Python or Javascript/Appscript)  
• Interest in the Software Industry
• "Can-do" attitude
• Analytical mindset
